The City is not liable for any damages incurred directly or indirectly as a result of the photographs appearing on the account. The City of Longmont is not responsible for the content of nor endorses any photograph appearing on this account.

Posting/removal policy
The City reserves the right to remove any photograph that is obscene, defamatory, of a harassing nature, presents political or religious advocacy (including support/opposition to any ballot issue or candidate for office) involves fraud, incites violence or criminal conduct, depicts the death or injury to a human or animal, depicts a distortion of the facts which contributes to a crime, violates a crime victim’s rights or violates the copyright, trademark right, or other intellectual property right of any third party. Furthermore, the City reserves the right to remove any photo unrelated to Longmont including commercial promotions or purposes.

Open Records
All photographs posted on the City Flickr account are subject to the Colorado Open Records laws, C.R.S. 24-72-201, et. seq. All photographs on this account are capable of being reprinted in newspapers, magazines, or online in any other web or web media format.

Who may post
You can be a citizen of any country, living anywhere. As long as you're 18 or older, you're welcome to enter. If you're younger than that, please ask your parent or guardian to enter your photograph.

Type of photographs
We're looking for photographs of the City or events occurring in Longmont to share with the world. You can enter photographs at any time.

Feel free to:
-Enter photographs taken anywhere in the City of Longmont.
-Enter color, black and white, or partially desaturated photographs.
-Edit your photograph however you like.
-Include a border (not required, though).
-Enter photographs taken at any time.
-Enter composite photographs, where you combine more than one photograph into what looks like a single image.
-Enter photographs that you took that may have been published or used elsewhere.

Don't enter photographs that:
-You didn't take, or for which someone else owns the copyright.
-Just show someone else's copyrighted work (for example, a photograph of a painting).
-Advertises a product.
-Show nudity, drugs, violence, or symbols or acts of hatred.
-Distorts the fact contributing to a crime or violates a crime victim’s rights
-Are illegal or prohibited.
-Violate Flickr's community guidelines or the City legal disclaimers above.

By entering your photographs, you agree to all of the above. We reserve the right to disqualify photographs that are in violation of this Policy; we’ll remove disqualified photographs from the pool, but they’ll remain visible in your account.

By submitting photographs, you give the City Colorado permission to use them for non-profit governmental purposes, including but not limited to awareness and marketing our community. This permission includes, but is not limited to, publication by the City, Colorado on our City's web sites, our social media sites, in printed materials, television broadcasts or our intranet. You will not be compensated for such use. However, where reasonable, we will give you credit for the photographs.
