About Long Division Festival, Wakefield

Long Division is a Music Festival taking place in the heart of Wakefield City Centre on the weekend of June 10th to 12th. It will feature a wide variety of artists across a diverse set of venues.

The Festival will open on Friday evening with a special evening taking place at The Hop. Details will be announced shortly.

Saturday is the big one; a full 12 hours of live music encompassing music venues as varied as Wakefield's 800 year old Cathedral and its striking Town Hall and the fantastic but equally unique modern venues The Hop and Mustangs plus quaint but comfortable pubs Henry Boons and The Graziers. All these venues will be accessible by use of a festival wristband (which you will receive in exchange for your ticket) allowing you pick and choose your way round the day. And what a day! We're thrilled to have produced a line-up combining the best up and coming bands with some outstanding national bands that would otherwise be unlikely to call in to Wakefield. Los Campesinos!, Emmy The Great, Emma Pollock, Let’s Wrestle, I Like Trains and many more take their first ever trip to Wakefield as well as Indie legends The Wedding Present paying their first visit since 1991.

Things wind up on Sunday with the Long Division Fringe Festival; a chance to celebrate a whole host of local talent in the grass root venues that support them across the city centre. Except this time you don’t need a wristband; it's free. Expect further details on this shortly.
