About The London Shopfront Archive

Do you remember the Ironmongers shop where they actually sold fork handles or the wool shop where mum got her knitting supplies or the two old ladies who ran a tiny shop with shelves adorned with glass jars full of sweets which were weighed out and sold by the ounce? What about tobacconists who sold every brand of cigarette and pipe tobacco along with everything the discerning smoker could possibly need.?
Those and many more have long gone from my locality. So in my small way I have already begun a photographic archive of all the business premise frontages in my area of Fulham before they too disappear.
If you have the inclination to do the same in your locality then please feel free to join in and capture the present before it's gone forever.
