Photographs of past and current industry in the Greater London area may be posted here. Not merely manufacturing industry, light and heavy, but images relating to utilities infrastructure - gas, electricity, water etc, are also acceptable.

Transportation is subject to interpretation. For example, a railway spur line to or from an industrial site is fine, but general road or rail goods transportation is just too broad an area.

And please, no building sites unless it is an industrial plant that is being demolished or built. Building is an industry, but there are many other groups that will welcome those shots.

Industrial Archaeology
It is often forgotten that London, particularly in the area of light industry, was once one of the prime manufacturing cities in Britain. But it has not cherished its industrial heritage, unlike many other British cities. And these sites are still disappearing, particularly to the east of the capital. For more on this, the Greater London Industrial Archaeology Society is an invaluable resource.
