The Hammersmith to Battersea one was most excellent.
So if I don't have any other plans that day I could be tempted.
Any chance of an upcoming listing, if only as a provisional place-marker for my diary. Otherwise I'm bound to forget between now and then.

Looked at footie schedules and england might be playing if we are runners up in our group? Which to be honest is not looking likely!

I have no interest in football either (and little in pubs; I'm alcohol-free) however Sundays are difficult so I'll keep an eye on this one to see if I can make it

Was thinking of walking along the south bank of the Thames for this and following all the way along to our destination? does that sound reasonable?
May mean that the Dove pub may not be the best place to meetup/start...

If I'm in London that weekend I'll probably be along regardless of the football.
From memory (haven't been there for ages though) there used to be some nice pubs at Strand on the Green by Kew railway bridge.

South side seems best, the path goes missing in places if you stay on the north side I think.
Although not sure what (if any) path there is between Hammersmith Bridge and Barnes Railway Bridge.
I've cycled the rest though, from Barnes to Richmond so I know that part well enough.
There's a nice looking riverside pub by Barnes called The White Hart.

Yup, been to Rose and Crown, was quite nice.
Greyhound might be the one we ended up in after the Kew Gardens meetup a few years back.
Yeah, it's the one.
Also good as I recall.

I'm in, hopefully.
There's a diversion where the path is closed at Kew between the District Line railway bridge and Kew Bridge.

At I remember that now... but as I recall you still had fun doing the walk anyway.
BTW just looked at 5 day forecast and sunday looks like it will be a scorcher!! 30 degrees and no cloud - Great for us (but the BBC weather report has been a bit temperamental recently)
I think bottles of water and sun tan lotion will be good things to bring along on the morning/afternoon!

So it looks like england is playing on sunday at 15.00.
I might suggest that I will try and get us to a pub or near one for around that time possibly... would people mind if we started the walk a little earlier say we meet at 10.00 and begin walking for 10.15 to give us a little more time?
What do people think?

Ok I have had a few reponses from people and I think we should meet at 10.00am and be ready to go for 10.15 am. I think stopping off for an early lunch will also be a good idea.
I will up date the top data above and also the upcoming page... I will also add my mobile number as well so that people have a contact on the day.
