I've always meant to go (my maternal grandmother worked there during the war), and if the individual ticket means you can go back in twelve months then this is effectively a free extra visit with more photography... so yes.

Also, is it allowed in the museum?

@ Bletchley Park Trust
I've been to simliar events before where the venue has not imposed any restrictions but the band (or private security claiming to act for them) have.
Can you confirm the situation with regard to the gig. Because saying that there are no restrictions "in the grounds" isn't quite the same thing.
I had a less than pleasant experience with goons employed by the Alabamha 3. So can you clarify please.

Hi all. I am one of the trustees at The National Museum of Computing. We can't allow flash photography during the performance itself - can't have the artist being put off! Afterwards of course, you are welcome to take lots of photos - not for commercial use of course!!
We will escort as many people as want to the museum after the concert - just a few minutes walk - and let them have the run of the museum. Again you are free to take lots of pics - again for non commercial use. We plan to have lots of guides present, and as many machines as possible switched on. See you there.

BTW The museum has it's own flickr group where we would love your photographs - it's at www.flickr.com/groups/tnmoc/

Like Charles, I'll be on the LPMG workshop. And a bit gutted to miss pixelh8 :(
Bletchley is great to wander round, give youself plenty of time and make sure you make the pilgrimage to the Colossus replica and chat to Tony Sale, who's a very nice man indeed and a mine of information.
I loved it...and I expect to see some very cool photos from you lot!

I shall certainly be going, will be driving over as I'm only 30 minutes away. Like many, I had been meaning to visit Bletchley Park for a long time, and finally did near the end of last year, and again at the end of January, and I still haven't seen everything. It's very camera friendly, and even if you can't make this meet, it's well worth visiting at another time.

Top post updated - I reckon we should get the 11:13 train from Euston that gets us to Bletchley at 11:49.

@wwarby I'll sort out a meeting place closer to the time - the folks at Bletchley are looking into maybe sorting us out a guide, so when we know what's going on with that I'll sort out somewhere to meet up.
It'll probably be in the cafe at some time between 12 and 12:15 - I don't know how much of a walk there is from the station.

I met Kevin Murrell today (showing again how tiny the world really is) and I've heard a bit more about what's going on at Bletchley on the 21st.
Due to Pixelh8's gig being on at TNMOC the museum will be staying open later than usual, so if people want to stay around and take photos for a bit longer we should be able to. There was also talk of a bar opening at 6:30 before the gig.
Kevin was saying that they should be able to open up glass cases and some of the machines for us to take photos. Which is rather cool.
When we get a bit closer to the 21st I'll have some more details about any special arrangements. In the meantime please sign up on the upcoming page to let us know if you are definitely coming so we can get a good idea of numbers. If you're not on upcoming please let me know on here.

Ok also, I have arranged for photgraphers to have access to my soundcheck between 6-630pm on both nights as that way you can set up the shots you want and use flash if needed, as you won't be able to use flash during the performance. You won't hear any music though during the soundcheck as I don't want to spoil it for anyone, however you will get to see and photo the visuals :)
Tickets are however almost sold out so be quick!!!
Tickets are available from both
www.pixelh8.co.uk & www.tnmoc.org
March 20th & 21st, 2009
Photographers 6-630pm
Doors open 7.15pm
Performance starts at 7.30pm prompt
:)
Hope you are all well. Please come up and introduce yourself.

Dayum. When I booked a ticket I'm sure the web page said it would be sent to me, but it's still not arrived. I've just had a look at both email accounts and I can't find any confirmation there either even though I know I got a confirmation email 'cos I'd never have said I had a ticket if I hadn't. Argh. @mondoagogo - my receipt came from 'etickets.to' and I also had a receipt from PayPal. That's the only mail I got - the former has a code number in it which I assume is the ticket. Maybe that address will help you find it in your mail somewhere?

If SSL 4000G+ doesn't have any better suggestions on where to meet, I'd say in the cafe sometime between 12 and 12:30.
Fire me over a mail to let me know if you'll be meeting us at the station so that we either don't go without you, or at least know we are going without you...
11 in front of WHSmith ready to get the 11:13 train - get your ticket before you meet the group.
