As I said in the previous thread;
"The earliest train that we can use at £42 return leaves St. Pancras at 16:45, arriving 19:47. Ideally, we would get there earlier, but the price rises sharply."
Return trains are less of a pressure. M&G, if you nominate a train, I'm sure we'll all follow :)

I'm booked. Coming back on the 10:13 train to allow time for a leisurely breakfast after dawn photography.
fiddlesticksss We've never been asked that before. I'd say 18, I'm afraid. Especially as this trip involves going abroad. We are just a group of friends and strangers. If something happened to a minor, we could potentially be held liable. And we'd need to comply with child protection legislation. Sorry.

Also wandering off to check out the options for train times & a possible hotel room as a back up!! I may head over on the Friday after work.. J

I've found a dinky little studio in the 10eme near Canal St Martin for 60 euros a night (with free internet)
Which means that when it gets to 4am, I'm dog-tired, freezing cold, and soaking wet (did I warn you it ALWAYS rains when I go to Paris) I can slope off somewhere snug.
I'm waiting for confirmation, but hope to travel out on Thursday afternoon and back on Monday night.
The place also has a sofa bed in the lounge. So if anyone wants to bring a sleeping bag and have a place to crash then get in touch.
If Justine's bringing wine and croissants to the rendevzous then I'll get the saucisson and chocolat.
I'm working my way round London's "magnificent seven" (now there's a thought for another day out!) so I'll probably aim to do Père Lachaise on one of the days.

I think Paris is a bit short notice and especially for people who I don't know - but in the future if you're all doing a London flickr photo shoot about I'd be very up for it.
Last year a group of us from work went on a ghost walk and it took us round some really spooky and cool night time areas which would be great for photos.
I've tried to have a look at your group welcome to get an idea of rules and stuff... just wondered if anyone can turn up? Can I drag along my girlfriend or a friend from work who's into photography etc

Looks like we will be split in two groups, then. Standard is coaches 1-5 and 14-18 with buffet cars separating them from the central part of the train which is business class and not to be trafficked through by yer common folk. :) If the train is not too full then those of us in each section may be able to commune with our fellow flickristes.
Guess it might be an idea for us (or those of us who want) to meet up a some time before checking in to 'get social' :)

@ Justine
I've just done a quick measure and between them, the two flasks hold about the equivalent of nine coffee cups.
So if I make the chocolate a little more concentrated than usual, bring some milk or single cream to add to taste, plus some brandy to fortify it, I reckon we could get a dozen servings.
Or I could take the Trangia. Never mind Ikea, this is THE single greatest thing to come out of Sweden.
There would be something quintisentially English about sitting by the Seine at 4am drinking a freshly brewed cup of tea.

This has come up in a few photographic forums - where it is apparently illegal to take pictures of the Eiffel tower at night! What craziness!
www.tour-eiffel.fr/teiffel/uk/pratique/faq/index.html
Q : Is the publishing of a photo of the Eiffel Tower permitted?
A : There are no restrictions on publishing a picture of the Tower by day. Photos taken at night when the lights are aglow are subjected to copyright laws, and fees for the right to publish must be paid to the SETE.

There's no number limit that I know of. As long as you can get tickets for the train, you're in! Ghene has given the train details above, or you can follow the link to the event Upcoming page she has put at the top.
As far I know, we haven't actually arranged where we will meet but I would guess it will be at St Pancras at 3+ish. Ghene?
