I'm always up for a wander.
Next on my list of random places to wander that I haven't been round much is Fitzrovia and Bloomsbury, but I don't know how suitable that'd be for a group.

@cowfish (at al): If you want to do the northern end of TCR area, iId be happy to help show you around if I can (pending homework). I've worked in fitzrovia under the tower and am now being edjumacated at ucl, so i know a bit about that area. We could even go see if the bentham autoicon is out in the cloisters and give our regards.

Any news on this? The Upcoming event is showing meeting at Blackfriars; is that still the plan or has the enthusiasm for Fitzrovia / Bloomsbury nudged it further north and west?

I'm game for this. Fitzrovia/Bloomsbury sounds good, but I'm easy. Like a photo-walk whore.

The Facebook event is linked to from the photowalking site, but there's been more discussion here than anywhere else, I think.

Please use the upcoming event as the main focus!

Route you proposing looks almost like what we did at night photo-walk last weekend.
No more south-bank. I'm up for Fitzrovia and Bloomsbury.

We're going to be in the British Museum environs from 2pm, it looks like, in case there is a walk to be intercepted.

Cowfish I'm always up for a pint or two (more like two or three) and I know there are few good pubs around Fitzrovia and Bloomsbury.

I'm not going to make the 2pm start at the Ship & Shovell -- nice pub, though. (You might want to check which side of the road everyone's meeting on!)
Would like to meet peeps for curry or pub or something in the evening, though, so those of you with my number, keep me posted on your location(s) so I can catch up with you!
btw, as you're going to be in the area, you should try and pop into the Coningsbury Gallery and see James Ravilious' lovely, witty photos:

Unfortunately I know pretty much 0 about whats along the route! I suggest meeting on the North side of the pub I'll be the one looking like the person that is in all of these (sorry I haven't updated it in Flickr to get that search www.zooomr.com/people/phillprice/insidephotos/ looking rather nervous about the whole thing.
As for meet ups - call me on 07919 884 248 and we'll work out where we are and close to. I could probably stretch the diet for a day to go out for dinner with you all to, any ideas where?

You might want to pop into the British Library at the end of the walk for the Breaking the Rules european Avant Garde exhibition - some Man Ray stuff, as well as Moi Ver's Paris Photobook, Moholy-Nage (though I think it shuts at 5 on Sat)

Sorry I didn't make it -- espesh after Phill went to all that effort to keep me updated with changes and stuff. But I did however randomly run into blech and mirrorgirl in time to wander off to Drummond Street for a curry with them, so it worked out nicely in the end anyway.

Apologies from me too. I kind of got detached from the group then got distracted by the art deco Daily Express building - I'll upload some shots when I get some time. By the time I'd finished there the light was fading fast and I only had a slow lens with me so I packed up.
