About London Flickr Meetups

A group to pool photos from and to discuss upcoming and past meetups of the London Flickr group

All are welcome to come along, you can just bring any old camera or even a phone - it's all about socialising and taking a few shots in different parts of London. Then we post the results to the group here - it's not a competition.

You can keep an eye on what we're doing by checking in the threads above or looking at the Upcoming group.

Guidelines

Attending Events and Posting to the Pool

1. Membership of the group is open to anyone. However you need to be 18 years or over to come to a meetup, unless you are accompanied by a parent or guardian. Many meetups include a trip to the pub.

2. To add a picture to the pool, please try to ensure that
a) it was taken at a meetup, or at an event advertised in the announcements thread.
b) it is tagged with an upcoming event tag. Upcoming tags look a bit like this - upcoming:event=XXXXX, where the XXXXX is the event number. You can get the event tag from the relevant upcoming page, or use boncey's Simplrfy site.

Organising a Meetup

3. Once you have been to a few meetups, please consider organising one.

4. You can start a new thread to float an idea for a meetup, and gauge interest. But once you think you'll go ahead, please;
a) Ensure the date of the meetup is included in the thread title.
b) Provide clear instructions about where to meet, and when. Remember that it can be hard to meet people in crowded places, so be precise. Update the post at the top of the thread to reflect this.
c) Start an upcoming thread for the event, and invite people to sign up there.

5. Enjoy!
