Most of the targets are well lit, but a few of them aren't. You should be okay with 400 if you've got a steady hand - you might want to pack a flash just in case.
Sadly tripods are not permitted at the location.

@Glyn1: www.londonist.com is not connected with londonist the flickr username. It's just a coincidence. No one from Londonist.com has actually been on any of the hunts, to my knowledge.
Someone else suggested that there be a London Flickr Meetups team, but as was pointed out over there; even with all the newbies, there's a lot of crossover among the different groups, so it's unlikely we'll be splitting the teams using that as a guage.
However, if any of you are intimidated by being on a team with loads of strangers and you know that one of your friends has signed up, too, let the admins know and we will try to accomodate you whilst still ensuring that the team members are spread as evenly as possible across the board...

Heh heh! I doubt if it's any help at all - I suspect people must have had a few possible venues in their heads before they saw this, so I suppose it'd be very easy to narrow it down from that even if you don't know this area.
For me, I've geomapped images in the area, so it was instantly familiar with no need for conscious thought.
