seams to happen a lot in this group! instead of topics to discuss ,just people "pimping" their photos!

You are right!
Not as good on flickr ettiquette as youtube ettiquette.
I think the reason people do it is because your pictures get "lost in the group pool" especially if it's a fast moving one. Also you can't explain, put the picture into context as well just by dropping the pic into the group pool.
