Twinity Virtual World says:

Hi
@Admin: This is an invitation to the members of the group. I hope its not too much of a bother. Thanks

We are Twinity, we build virtual worlds inspired from real life cities. You can find out more about us here: www.twinity.com/en

We're inviting artists from all over the world to come and display their work in-world. You can see Twinizen (Twinity user) Liza's exhibition, 'Hier und Da' (Here and There) on our photostream here: www.flickr.com/photos/twinity/

Since we just launched Twinity London, a virtual representation of the London, we would love to invite some of you to come and put up your pictures, which will be displayed at the famous Altes Museum in Virtual Berlin.

•What: Introducing the Community Art Project: An opportunity to showcase your creativity on Twinity!
oYou can now share your pictures, poems, prose and 3-D models with everyone in Twinity.

•When: From the 18th of January onwards

•Where: The Altes Museum in Twinity Berlin.
oThe gallery will have at least two sections, one for the community to put up their art and the other for professional artists who would want to monetize their art.

•What will you get?
oAn opportunity to showcase your work to the entire community and get valuable feedback.
oFor commercial artists, you get a new area to showcase your work and possibly a new way to make some money.

•Great. How do I join the fun?
oIf you just want to reach out the community through your art contact Lisa Vanovitch. She’ll let you know what can make it to the gallery.
oOr, if you’re a professional and want your own space, then get in touch with us and we’ll run you through possible options.

•You’re not alone. We’ll Help you when you start a '3-D Art Gallery':
oWe do realise that some artists may not be able to create the 3-D spaces on their own. Since, we want to support their talent; we’ll provide you with a space that can be easily decorated.
oWe can give you a couple of different floor plans, and you can choose the one that suits your gallery the best.
oOnce the gallery has been created, we can give you a training session on how to upload and place pictures in the spaces you desire.
oWe also understand, that creating a gallery, is only part of the game. We will help promote the event through our channels, like the Twinity Newsletter.
oYou can also monetize your gallery as you see fit. This can be done by linking your Twinity Gallery to other websites that may be selling your content. Alternately, you can also sell your art directly in Twinity in our in-world currency (Globals). (Let us know if you need more information on this.)
oWe could also help you with audio/video feed that you may want to integrate as ambient sound or as an installation piece. However, this will be made available for one time use only.
oIf needed, we could also organise 'tours' to your gallery.

•There will be a curator?
oIf you want your own gallery, there will be no curator. We believe that this gallery is your own space, and hence you are free to put up any sort of art that you wish to display. There will be no editorial policy or censorship from our side. If you would like to pursue a theme or create a series, please feel free to do so!
oIf however, you would like to be part of the Twinity user's art gallery, then our curator will be selected or elected; at the moment it is Lisa Vanovitch.

•Will there be any ‘real Life’ galleries?
oVirtual versions of real life galleries do exist on Twinity. However, we are not encouraging users to exhibit there, since we don’t want to interfere with their core business.

If you have any questions or would like to know how to post things in Twinity just reply to us here!

Thanks

Twinity Virtual World says:

Hi Everyone

On the 3rd of February, we finally launched new parts of Virtual London!

To celebrate this, two photographers, from Flickr, Andy Beeching (http://www.flickr.com/photos/pinners/) and Federiko Fetto (http://www.flickr.com/photos/f0ff0/), and another London based photographer (Aditya Palsule) displayed their work in Twinity.

Have a look at what their virtual gallery looked like on our photostream.

Tell us what you think about these galleries, and if you would like to join the fun!

Thanks
