About Analog + Digital (pairs)

All submissions should come as a PAIR - 2 photos at once, one film, the other digital. Please either combine them into a single canvas, or submit them one immediately following the other so they can be compared easily.

This group showcases photos taken using film cameras (35mm, MF, Polariod, anything goes) AND the same subject taken by a digital camera (point and shoot, dSLR).

Please tag: analogdigital

The aim is to generate understanding and discussion about the qualities, flaws, potential, merits, etc of BOTH camera types and techniques used in the pair.

This is NOT an analog VERSUS digital group, it's an analog AND digital group :) Sometimes one is better than the other. Sometimes they're indistinguishable. Sometimes both are great/poor!

Please take the time to write descriptions. Tell us what cameras and film you used, how you processed them, what was happening, where you were etc.

Please submit as often as you'd like, but please try to abide by a "quality over quantity" model :)

If one of the photos in the pair was taken by someone else (not you), please acknowledge them and link their flickr where possible.

Analog effects on film are encouraged! Cross processing, expired film, color filters are all acceptable. Digital manipulation of digital photos are also allowed.

If Photoshop is used on your film and/or digital shots, please be comfortable and candid about it - there are no boundries here!

Let's embrace the beauty of photography AND wonders of technology both new and old! Let's have fun!
