About Log booms

A log boom is a barrier placed in a river, designed to collect and or contain floating logs timbered from nearby forests sometimes called a fence or bag. The term is also used as a place where logs were collected into booms, as at the mouth of a river. (from Wikipedia)
Booms are sometimes towed by tugboats on lakes and in the ocean, too.

We have here a rather iconic west coast fixture.
This is a self-explanatory group, really. Just photos of log booms, and the scenery, boats, animals etc. that are usually around them. Anything to do with the booms, such as tugs specifically used for towing them, old washed up cables etc, are also welcome.
