Hidden Liverpool pullout - Deadline Wednesday July 29

view profile

Alison'spix is a group administrator Alison'spix says:

Hi all,
Occasionally we get permission to do Flickr specials where we can produce pull-outs.
We did the River Mersey one recently and (unexpectedly - it's quite expensive to print the extra pages so we ususally have several months wait between each one) we've got the nod to put together another one next month.

I thought it would be nice to do Hidden Liverpool - the unsual angles, views, perspectives or hidden areas of the city and burbs that people may not notice as they go about their everyday stuff. Add some info about where it is (and how you got the shot, it if you want).

And I wondered if, rather than Richard and I chosing the pix, you would want to chose your own? If you want to get involved, choose your pix (up to 3 images each), and add them to this thread, like we do with the 'published in the paper' thread. But please remember any photos we publish large in the paper (as opposed to the smaller size on the letters page) need to be 200 DPI or more, and a minimum of 1200x700

Any problems, questions or issues, give me or Richard a shout - Flickrmail, alison.gow@liverpool.com, richard.down@liverpool.com or via switchboard on 0151 2702000.

Underneath the Mersey Tunnel (by mobilevirgin)

This fan is one of the massive ventilation fans in the Georges Dock Building for the Queensway Mersey Tunnel. It sucks out the dirty air and a system of ventilation shafts causes it to be replaced with clean air.

Patterns (by mobilevirgin)

This is on the top of the Echo Arena Car Park. I was drawn to the little details up there. Not exactly hidden, but I bet most people don't have the time just to look around and see this sort of stuff.
