About Live Earth concerts
*Live Earth* is the name for a series of concerts of pop and rock music planned to take place on Saturday July 7, 2007 to promote action to confront global climate change. The umbrella organization for the event is a new global movement under the name Save Our Selves (SOS). The intention is to present seven concerts on the same day - one concert on each of Earth's seven continents.
So far, the artists who have confirmed their performances are the following: Beastie Boys, Black Eyed Peas, Bloc Party, Corinne Bailey Rae, Damien Rice, David Gray, Duran Duran, Foo Fighters, Genesis, James Blunt, John Legend, Keane, Madonna, Paolo Nutini, Razorlight, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Snow Patrol, AFI, Akon, Alicia Keys, Bon Jovi, Dave Matthews Band, Fall Out Boy, John Mayer, Kanye West, Kelly Clarkson, KT Tunstall, Ludacris, Melissa Etheridge, The Police, Rihanna, Roger Waters, Sheryl Crow, Smashing Pumpkins, Jennifer Lopez, Gilberto Gil, Snoop Dogg, Lenny Kravitz
