About Listed Buildings of ScotlandThis is a little project that I've been meaning to get round to for ages... An online resource showing images of as many of Scotland's Listed Buildings as possible.
___ Required in the Description/Comment Field The html code that you can paste into your description/comment can be a copy of the following, with the relevant HBNumber or Canmore ID changed accordingly.
When adding images to the group, it would be helpful if you could add a link to the Historic Scotland Listed Building Report - like I have done here. There is a text-based search here and you can also find Listed Buildings on the map-based search tool, Pastmap. You will see the HBNumber displayed in the search results and on the Listed Building Report. Most Listed Buildings should also have a corresponding record on the RCAHMS database Canmore. Again, a link in your photo's description or in a comment would be useful. It would also be helpful if your photo was geotagged. Worry not if this is all too much of a hassle: I can add these before your photo is cleared for adding to the group (though this will of course mean it takes longer to appear!). If I have invited your photo to be added, I will add these details for you. ___ This group is for Listed Buildings of Scotland, but there are also similar groups for the six cities in Scotland: Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen, Dundee, Stirling & Inverness. Feel free to add to both the national pool and city pool if relevant! Please note that this group is not affiliated in any way with Historic Scotland. It is merely intended to complement existing research tools - any opinion, inaccuracy etc etc is the responsibility of the image holder. |
