About Toronto Liberty Project
The Toronto Liberty Project (TLP) is a new group of Toronto-area photographers looking to build a community by sharing their knowledge, experience, and expertise with others. The main objective of the Toronto Liberty Project is to showcase the exceptional work of both established and aspiring photographers through a series of regularly scheduled gallery exhibitions.
The details are as follows:
1. Currently, the Toronto Liberty Project is sponsored by 44 Wide; a gallery, printing facility, and workshop space located in the Heart of Liberty Village. They are offering up their gallery space for the TLP so that Toronto photographers can have a proper place to showcase their work and have it be seen in a high traffic area.
2. Curators of the TLP Flickr group will contact two to four photographers every 4-6 weeks to be included in the next gallery exhibition. There is no cost to be considered and the sponsor will not charge photographers for use of the space or commissions on prints that have been sold.
3. The sponsor will host an opening night for each exhibition where all supporters of the TLP are encouraged to come out and support the community.
4. To be considered, you simply post your best images to the TLP Flickr group!
Anyone interested in acting as a curator/moderator of this group can contact me at neil (at) neilta (dot) ca or via Flickr mail. You are all encouraged to invite other Toronto photographers to this group!!!
