About Unique Photo Lensbaby Contest
We are looking for the most fun and creative images taken with a Lensbaby or other selective focus/perspective control method!
THEME: SUMMER AND FALL FUN
Show us the image that best exemplifies your idea of the essence of Summer or Fall! Please be sure that all images are taken with a Lensbaby or other perspective control optic.
This is not a strict theme, but it should keep you busy shooting this summer and fall!
Your entry should have a title and byline in the description. If you'd like to share your technique in the description feel free!
GRAND PRIZE: A Lensbaby Composer for your SLR camera!
(If you already own a Lensbaby Composer, you may pick an alternate prize of a Lensbaby Optic Kit & Fisheye Optic.)
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
1) Limited to 1 entry per participant! No exceptions.
2) If you are suspected of creating duplicate accounts to make additional submissions, all of your entries will be disqualified!
3) After a submission is made, it can be changed up until to the deadline, but again the total limit is 1 image per participant!
4) Participants must have a valid shipping address in the Continental United States.
5) The Submission deadline is October 31st, 2010. After October 31st, submissions will be closed.
6) Content must be SAFE for all ages and contain no obscenity, violence, and/or any content deemed offensive to a specific group or individual. We are all about freedom of expression in photography, but for this contest keep it clean, we are a family oriented business.
JUDGING
The following judges will pick finalists from the pool and a voting process will begin. The Grand Prize winner and Honorable mentions will be announced on the Unique Photo Blog and Flickr Group(s) after the voting process is over.
Nancy Ori

Nancy Ori is respected internationally as an industrial photographer and video producer for over 30 years. She also enjoys teaching photography classes and workshops each year throughout the United States and Europe. Nancy has been affiliated for many years with the Ansel Adams Workshop in California. She is also on the faculty of the Newark Museum, Peters Valley Craftsman in Layton, Morris Museum in Morristown, Somerset Art Association in Bedminster and the Watchung Adult School in New Jersey.

For over 15 years, he has consulted on the topics of digital output and color management for internationally acclaimed photographers and corporations such as Tiffany & Co and his commercial clients have included Brooks Brothers, Kenneth Cole, Tourneau watches, Cigar Aficionado and The Body Shop. He has conducted seminars around the world at photo-related conferences, for professional photography organizations and at the International Center of Photography (ICP) in New York.
Jim Roselli

As a teen, Jim would always be found in his darkroom developing black and white film and making prints. Times have changed and film has given way to the digital revolution. Today he can be found post processing his client’s digital fine art images and creating limited edition prints on his cherished Epson 9900 wide format HDR printer. Jim’s is a 2008 Graduate of the Hallmark Institute of Photography in Turners Falls Massachusetts. Post graduation he continued his studies with John Paul Caponigro endeavoring to learn more about the art of digital printmaking. As his studies concluded, Jim promptly opened Xact Studios LLC in Hillsborough, New Jersey. By blending his 27 years of business experience as a technology executive with today’s leading edge digital cameras, Jim has created New Jersey’s Premier Digital Capture & Print Making Studio.
Bill Westheimer

Since making his first photograph at age 14, Bill Westheimer has been fascinated with alternative processes including high school experiments in holography, solarization, and high contrast imagery . Recent work includes photograms made on collodion glass plates, Ilfochrome and gelatin silver media. He has been collaborating on a camera obscura project with Charles Schwartz documenting the city of New York, and continues his Manual Project – The Personalities of Hands. His works are exhibited in galleries and museums worldwide.
Wendy Erickson

Wendy Erickson is a New Jersey based photographer, writer and teacher. With an emphasis on fine art photography deeply rooted in the history of photography, Wendy’s own photographic toolbox includes Pinhole and Plastic cameras, the use of medium format silver halide film, large format paper negatives, hand-coated media for inkjet printing, scannography, digital textile printing, instant photography and combinations of those processes. She is comfortable in the traditional and digital darkroom. She holds BA and MFA degrees in Art/Photography/Digital imaging, and has more than 25 years business experience in marketing and communications, working in the photographic industry for ILFORD, and currently as a consultant.
