Update, 27 April 2010 - We've closed the group, no more photos can be added! Thanks for all your entries. Hans Lignell of the Mosman Camera Club has kindly agreed to judge the competition and has shortlisted 25 entries. View the shortlisted entries along with the judge’s comments in these two galleries: shortlist #1 and shortlist #2. (Flickr only allows 18 photos per gallery, which is why there are two galleries.) Now we want you to choose your favourite.

To tie in with National Youth Week 2010, Mosman Library is hosting a photography competition for young people to capture and present images of how they live now.

The Lens Of Youth will provide a platform for local young people (12-18) to portray their lives through photography.

Please provide a description of what inspired you to take this photo and where it was taken (it'd be helpful if you can locate this on the Flickr map).

By entering your images in this group you are also allowing for this work to be shown on the Mosman Council website and Wired 4 Teens Blog, as well as publicly displayed in the Mosman Library. All work will be accredited.

Entries for The Lens of Youth close at 7pm on Friday 2 April. Please note that photographers are also eligible to enter this competition by directly mailing or submitting their images to the Mosman Library. Entries can also be emailed to mosmanlibrary@gmail.com
