About LEGO Dieselpulp

Just what Flickr needs, another LEGO genre group, eh?

So, what's dieselpulp? A quick answer might be "Steampunk: The Next Generation" - that is, science fiction set in the 1930's and 40's instead of the 19th century. For a more detailed definition, we'll break it down into two parts:

Diesel: This, like steampunk, implies big, noisy, slightly anachronistic machines. It also gives a sense of the slightly dingy, almost neo-noir-ish tone that, while not strictly necessary, can be considered an element of the genre.

Pulp: Now, this is the fun bit. Adventure fiction, often called "Pulp fiction", has a long and glorious tradition. "True" Pulp is often considered a product of the period between the two World Wars, but we're going to stretch it a bit - say, anything between 1914 and 1957.

So where does all this leave an aspiring dieselpulp LEGO MOC? Well, naturally anything based on the Adventurers orIndiana Jones lines is in. Beyond that, look to the Tropes and the soon-to-be started "inspiration" thread.
