I never liked these blocky figures too much—so this will definitely be a challenge!

Model Gal  Pro User  says:

Can I enter, or does being a former Master Model Designer who built Miniland-scale models disqualify me? I would understand if it did.

But, if I don't qualify, would you like me to help judge the figures? I did work in Miniland-scale for years, after all.

Decided to combine this challenge with the 'Underdog' challenge over at LugNuts. The ultimate underdogs are Del boy and Rodney Trotter. I decided to do them in their moment of glory, as Batman and Robin from the 'Heroes and villains' episode.
For those not familiar with 'Only fools and horses' here's a clip from the episode on Youtube.

Hey Mariann, I think we all would love to see your skills in this challange. After all, there's nothing to be won here but inspiration and the opportunity to see other people's approach to the subject.

I'll do one after I"m back from holiday. I wonder why you call this MIniland? I remember 'Miniland' as the old name for what is now 'City' - but that was minifig scale of course.

It's from the Miniland in the Legoland parks as far as I know.

Yes Mariann we'd love to see your models here, so please feel free. The only rule though is that it must be a new model and not something built previously.

And like Moritz said, there aren't any real prizes to win and it's not really a contest. ALthough I'll be thinking about that in the near future.

Great models everybody!

Duq suggested that I submitted my LEGO family in reply to this challenge.

Meet the Edsels

I really built them to go with the fifties station wagon I built for LUGNuts. Advertisements for this car usually showed picture-perfect American families, of course with a dog. They're a bit smaller than normal miniland figures because of the scale of the car, but I hope they fit the bill.

Cheers,
Ralph

Happy Weasel: Yeah, I noticed that too. I hope they won't disqualify us because our miniland figures don't have super-stretchy powers.

Thanks Duq, much appreciated. Did I ever mention that your goofy Batman and Robin figs are awesome? Well, they are. Being not familiar with the show I didn't get it at first, but the youtube link helped a lot :-)
