I think we can all say that topics such as this should not be commented on. They know the mistake they made, and (hopefully) abstain from doing so in the future. This (and other like it) should be closed/deleted as soon as possible.

I would join if it was "LEGO anal probes and aliens group". But it is not.

EDIT: ^ I should probably have hit refresh before posting but it's nice to know that I've not got the only dirty mind.

It would be easier to join if you included a link to your group.

I wonder what the "official" LEGO flickr group policy is specifically for announcing Lego related groups here?

personally I'd rather see it posted like this rather than get 20 million invites for groups I have no interest in.

Kevoh is a group administrator Kevoh  Pro User  says:

Delucks, no one had commented for 21 hours, and then you comment just to ask for it to be locked?

First of all, Flickr Mail me if you think a thread should be locked. Don't comment on it in the thread.

Secondly, it is likely that this topic would have just died on its own accord if you hadn't commented, without any need for admin involvement.

I would argue that you, delucks, are the one most in error in this thread, not shadow_maniac.

I'm not going to lock this thread, because I want everyone to try something out: when you aren't interested in the contents of a post, just don't reply. No need to reply and say "I don't think this should be here" or "no one cares" or the like. Just ignore it, and comment on the topics that interest you, where you have something meaningful to say.
