04 Mar 08 - The admin of the LATITUDE 50° group, bkryzz, proposes to (1) arrange an international (well... of course ;) photo expo, to be run each year or so, in a different city belonging to the group!!
As an alternative, (2) we could have the same expo at the same time of the year in a group of cities (even ALL of them!) simultaneously.

Please express yourself on this idea, and whether you prefer (1) or (2) (or if you have a better one!)

About latitude 50°

Draw a circle around the World, at latitude 50° north. Where are you living? Or are you spending an holiday there? Have you ever thought that so many beautiful and important cities, and world capitals, and many nicest little unknown places around the world, share this simple numerical value of 50° latitude? We all share that same angle of view of the sun :-) .... wonder if even the rain falls at the same angle everywhere !! (joke)

Post here your pictures from Plymouth (England), Lille (France), Brussels (Belgium), Aachen, Koln, Frankfurt, Jena, Mainz, Bonn, (Germany), Auschwitz, Krakow (Poland), Karlsbad, Prague (Czech Rep.), Kiev (Ukraine), Komsomolsk, Toljiatti, Volgograd (Russia), Leninogorsk (Kazakhstan), Ulaangom (Mongolia), Aihui (China), Winnipeg (Canada), and from anywhere else that lies at 50° north!!!
