Well, I think I should stick up for the majority of camera-users with my point and shooter, a Minolta X1 DiMAGE. Really great for macros!

I've used a Nikon D50 for the last 10 months and picking a favourite is quite hard but I think that because of the difficulty that I had in shooting the moon when I had a film SLR camera it has to be this shot:

Morning moonshot

It's not a 'big' photo but here I'm pushing the resolution of the D50 to it's limits and yet the photo shows far more detail than I ever hoped to achieve - my first moon photo taken with the D50 was this:

Celestial Neighbour

and I was astounded at the time to be able to get that much detail! I've spent a lot of time since then working on my technique and I'm really happy with where I've got to. I've seen more detailed shots but only really ones taken with very long lenses or telescopes - mine are taken using 300mm (effectively 450mm) camera lenses.

I'm a digital photog amateur, so I just have a baby camera right now. I'll move up once I get a good handle on this one and become more experienced with the tools on my computer, and save up the money as well. In the mean time, I'm having fun with my Canon PowerShot Elph SD630. Here's my favorite shot so far (after about 4 months of owning the camera):

Nikon D80. I'm not very good with "bests" and "favorites," but since this is the Very Large group, I'll go with this one.
