About Lansing Lives Through the Lens

Is a picture really worth a thousand words? Ten, twenty, fifty, one hundred years from now, what will be remembered about the year 2011 in Lansing, Michigan? What didn’t make the headlines that represented us and how we lived? This is your chance to decide...

In celebration of National Library Week 2011 the Lansing Community College Library is sponsoring a week long collaborative photography project and contest with the purpose of creating a visual time capsule of everyday life in Lansing.

The 40 best photographs will be compiled in a book. Each photographer selected to appear in the compilation book will receive a free copy of the book. The book will be permanently available in the LCC Library collection. Photos can be submitted through April 14, 2011.

All photo submissions will be available for viewing at Stone Soup on Friday, April 15, 2011.
