About Lady Friends!

i see a lot of women tearing down other women, name calling, propegating the use of words like 'slut' and 'whore' when those of us who are strong and brave choose confidence rather than self-derision.

i want us to claim our beauty, our strengths, our uniqueness, and pass along the good things that we find that would make the lives of other women better - in any way.

i want to be proud for the women who own their sexual identity, their mystique, their charm, their wit, their strength...who are willing to say - 'i am beautiful but not defined by that, intelligent but not solely that either, i am many things, but i am not the sum of my parts...'

and i want that pride from my peers for my own strength.

i want to prop up women who are down but shouldn't be for long. to tell them the things that they have to be proud of, to cling to, to love in themselves but that they are too close to see. and i want somewhere to lean when i need those things in return.

i want us to learn to reach for Over Confidence in a world that would rather we hate ourselves to death.

this is a place that i would like to represent what i have not been able to find in life, especially in l.a. - a community of strong women aiming to empower and embrace other strong women...pass on info, connections, product love (and dislikes, save me the $!), doctor stuff, whatever!!!
