About Kwanonians: The Canon Group
WELCOME TO KWANONIANS!
Canon dominates the DSLR space with their high quality cameras. We all love our Canon's, so lets celebrate these tools which give us so much enjoyment and help us create our art.
This is a "Best of Canon" group, meaning I'm looking to archive and share outstanding images captured with Canon DSLR's. Please don't submit "snap-shots", only the best you have to share!
Everyone is free to upload their images captured with their Canon cameras. No invitation is required. Please invite your friends to share their images as well. If you see an image shot by a Canon shooter you like, please invite them to share with our group.
History of the Name:
Kwanon was the original name of the Canon camera company. Kwanon is a Buddhist goddess of mercy and the founder of Canon, Goro Yoshida, was a devout Buddhist.
Sometime after 1935 the name was changed from Kwanon to Canon which means "standard for judgment or biblical scriptures."
Today most people only known Canon as, well, "Canon".
