About Kugel {Ball}

This is a group for images of balls {Kugel in German} or spheres.

Please only post images of balls or spheres, not just circular images.

PLEASE POST IMAGES WITH ONLY ONE BALL AS THE MAIN FOCUS OF THE IMAGE

This group is about balls.

Balls of any size or type made of any material, just make sure they are actual balls.

SINGLE BALLS in the picture only, not a picture with lots of balls.

Images must also be of complete balls, not partial images of balls.

The ball must be the dominating feature of the image, not just a picture with a ball in it, as a guideline the ball should take up at least 50% of the image space, or a smaller ball that is virtually the only thing in the picture.
Images with more than one ball will only be accepted if the main subject matter is one ball dominating the image and the other balls are in the background or/and out of focus.

Please don't post two-dimensional circles, but three-dimensional, spherical forms.

Please add the tag ball or kugel to your images.

Images that do not fit the criteria above will be removed from the group.

COMPETITIONS

The Group will hold regular Members Competitions

I thought it would be a good idea to give you advance warning of the themes for the next few competitions on the Group. This might give you some ideas of what images to capture when you are out and about with the cameras.

COMPETITION TIMETABLE

JUNE Crystal Balls.

JULY A single Glass Marble.

AUGUST A Ball with a reflection that includes the photographer.

SEPTEMBER An animal playing with a ball.

OCTOBER The next New Icon Competition.

NOVEMBER Any Ball - Any Colour - Any Material.

DECEMBER Any Ball with a Christmas connection

That should be enough for you to think about for now, I will more later, the November theme should give you plenty of scope, expect many entries and difficult voting. Please continue to suggest themes.
