About Killarney Provincial Park
Killarney Provincial Park, located on the north shore of Georgian Bay in Ontario, Canada, is sometimes called the "Crown Jewel" of the Ontario Parks system. It is known for its beautiful blue lakes surrounded by the dramatic white quartzite hills of the La Cloche mountain range.
It is also the inspiration or actual location of many paintings and sketches by the Canadian contingent of landscape painters known as the Group of Seven, in particular Franklin Carmichael.
