About Koyaanisqatsi - a photo movie

Every time I watch this movie I am glued to the screen, and every image remains imprinted in my memory for a long time, if not forever.

I would like to try and create a kind of photographic tribute to this milestone of a film, creating a pool of photos, with one photo for each scene / shot of this movie. Photos made by all of us, amateurs, semi-pro's and pro's alike.

I realize this could be a goal that is impossible to fulfill, being that some of the scenes are from very particular or probably restricted areas, but I would like to see how far I can get...

Therefore, this group in the end will have a limited number of photos: as much as there are scenes / shots in the original movie.

Photos would have to be as similar as possible to the images in the movie, but of course do not have to be exactly the same location. Look at the present photos and the screenshots they refer to: you will get the idea...

To avoid confusion, please indicate to what scene / shot the photo is referring, if it is not immediately evident. You can do this by pointing to a screenshot in the beforementioned set.

Also, do not hesitate to post photos of a scene for which there is already a photo. In the end I will decide which ones to keep for the "finished product".

With this finished product I do not intend to do anything, at this point in time: it's just an idea that I feel very strongly about...

Last note: post as many photos as you like! I do reserve the right to keep the pool "clean" though: as this group has a rather restricted goal, I hope you will understand, and forgive me. Feel free to protest if you think your photo fits better than another: I will not shy away from constructive criticism! :-)
