About Korean War Chronicles.............Read the Front Page tribute
This Group is to honor the achievements of the men, and the women in the Divisions, Groups, Wings and Units that served in and during the Korean War .
This war began on June 25th, 1950 and ended on July 27th, 1953, even though there were many hostilities and clashes after the war supposedly ended.
It's time to remember the "Forgotten War" It is amazing to me that with the literally thousands of Groups in Flickr, there is not one dedicated to this period in our history.
What we are looking for here is photos of the veterans of this war, Unit photos, Memorials around the country, Navy ships and personnel that were involved. Photos on any subject dealing with the Korean peninsula during the War period are welcome.
A total of 17 Nations from the United Nations were involved in the fighting. The main Countries involved were South Korea, United States, Britain, Canada, Australia, and the Philippines.
We will be posting in here in our threads information on units and re-unions. Hopefully some of you may catch up with friends you knew a long time ago.
