പൂക്കളങ്ങള് ഹര്ഷവുമായ് നിങ്ങളുടെ വീട്ടുമുറ്റത്തെത്തുകയാണല്ലോ. മലയാളിക്കൂട്ടത്തിന്റെ ഓണക്കാഴ്ച ഇത്തവണത്തെ നിങ്ങളുടെ ഓണച്ചിത്രങ്ങള്ക്ക് കൂടുതല് മിഴിവ് നല്കുന്നു. ആഘോഷങ്ങളുടെ ഉത്സാഹത്തിമിര്പ്പിനൊപ്പം തന്നെ, വേദനമാത്രം ഉണ്ണാന് കിട്ടുന്ന, ഒരുപറ്റം തെരുവിന്റെ കണ്ണീര്മുത്തുകളെ സഹായിക്കാന് കൂടി മലയാളിക്കൂട്ടം ലക്ഷ്യമിടുന്നു. അതുകൊണ്ട് തന്നെ ഈ ഓണക്കാഴ്ചയില് പങ്കെടുക്കുന്നതിനോടൊപ്പം നിങ്ങള് സമൂഹത്തിനോടുള്ള ഒരു വലിയ കടപ്പാട് നിറവേറ്റുകകൂടിയാണ്. തീര്ച്ചയായും ഒരു കൂട്ടം ആളുകള് സ്പോണ്സര്ഷിപ്പുകള് ലഭിക്കുന്നതിനായി കഠിനപ്രയത്നം നടത്തുന്നുണ്ട്, എങ്കിലും ഓരോ ചിത്രത്തിനും 300 രൂപ വീതം ഓരോരുത്തരില് നിന്നും ഈടാക്കാതെ ഇതിന്റെ ചെലവുകള് നടത്താന് കഴിയില്ല. ഓണസദ്യയായി അനാഥത്വത്തിന്റെയും വിശപ്പിന്റെയും വേദനമാത്രം ഉണ്ണാന് കിട്ടുന്നവര്ക്കായുള്ള നിങ്ങളുടെ ഒരു കൈ സഹായമായി ഈ പണത്തെ കണക്കിലെടുക്കുക. എത്രയും കൂടുതല് ആള്ക്കാര് ലോകത്തിന്റെ പലേ ഭാഗങ്ങളില് നിന്നും പങ്കെടുക്കുന്നുവോ അത്രയും കൂടുതല് ഈ ഓണക്കാഴ്ച ഒരു വിജയമാകുന്നു, ഒപ്പം അവശര്ക്ക് ഒരാശ്വാസവും.

Let this Onam bring more cherish and warm to your minds. Along with the delight of the festival, Malayalikkoottam stretching their helping hands for a noble cause. We are planning to help the helpless people from streets who are suffering with hunger and shelter. So by participating in this unique event, you are fulfilling your commitment to the society. Many group members are struggling their level best to bag some sponsors. But without charging Rs. 300/- from each entry, we can’t meet the basic expenses. Just consider this as your contribution to the helpless people who are suffering in the streets. The success of the event depends on how many people from across the globe participate in this project. So be a participant and fill your mind with the comfort of helping the helpless, at the same time bringing your photographic talents to the entire world.


Rules for Submission
1) An individual can submit as much as 5 images. It is not necessary that all 5 images will be selected for the exhibition. Due to the space limitation, we have to restrict the participation to 100 members on the first come first server basis. If we can accommodate more, we will let you all know.

2) For each selected picture, the member has to contribute Rs. 300.00. (a/c details will be given later)

3) All images should be sent to malayalikoottam@gmail.com as an attachment.

4) These are the category of images that will be displayed

LIFE (around the globe)
Nature (Wild life, landscapes, flower power)
Events / Festivals / Arts and Culture
Portraits
Creative world (no photoshop creations)
Travel (Architecture, Historical monuments, cityscape

5) The image files should be named as category_FullName_FlickrID_Serial#.jpg

Use the following abbreviation for category

LIFE for Life (Around the Globe). Please be aware
that the photographer will be responsible
for the images. So any candids with
clear face shown on photograph should
better have a model release prior sending
them to the exhibition.

NATURE for Nature (wild life, landscapes,
flower power)
EVENT for Events/Festivals/Arts and Culture
PORTRAIT for Portraits (Like Life images, these too
may need a model release. The
photographer/contributor
will be responsible for any legal issues that
may arise by displaying the portraits.
CREATIVE for Creative World
TRAVEL for travel/Architecture/monuments/citiscapes

Serial # is the serial number of the image. This can be max 5

For example the file name format will be something like this
LIFE_BobinsonKB_freemind_3.jpg

Please note that "freemind" is the last bit / word in your flickr URL and it is unique and help us to identify photos easily.


Please send the images in JPG or TIFF format. Please do not send them in ZIP or RAR files. Please sent the image files only. We have a limited resources to compile the pictures. So Please, send us only JPG or TIFF files.

6) 5 mega pixel images are preferred.

7) All members has to submit the disclosure statement (only one statement for all the images in one single email. Seperate disclosure statement required for seperate emails) which will allow the kootam to use the images, sell them and use for publicity. Also the disclosure statement say that the work should be original and not copied/stolen. The format of the disclosure statement is given below after the rules. Please cut and paste this as part of your emails.

8) Final day for submission is July 8th.

9) Selected image will be judged by a Jury and only images accepted by the jury will be displayed. Individuals will be informed which pictuers are selected for exhibition. Jury decision will be final.

10) The unsold pictures can be returned to the photographer if they make arrangement to collect from Koottam organizers (no shipping back to the photographer unless the shipping cost is provided by the author). Koottam can make use of them for future exhibitions.

11) While selecting the pictures, please give importance for the locality where it has been taken. (Lets not encourage for table top experiments unless we have a separate section for them)

12) Post the images that you have send to the koottam email here. Post only small size images only.

13) Images posted here without the originals in email will be deleted

The disclosure Statement

PHOTOGRAPHER'S COPYRIGHT CONSENT FORM FOR MALAYALIKKOOTAM EXHIBITION

I own the copyright of the accompanying JPG/JPEG/TIFF files,(all
referred in this document as "photographs") and submit them for the
Malayalikkoottam Exhibition called "Onakaazcha" which is to be conducted at Cochin.

I certify that I am the sole owner and author of the above mentioned
photograph(s)and hold copyrights for the photograph(s) I am submitting to Exhibition conducted by Malayalikkoottam at Cochin.

I hereby grant Malayalikkootam an unrestricted rights of usage of these
photograph(s) for marketing/promotion of the Exhibition. This
includes, but is not limited to, publishing these photograph(s) in
print or electronic form for promotional purposes of the exhibition
with due credits and acknowledgements. I also understand that
Malayalikkoottam might sell these images if there is a prospective
buyer and the money thus generated will go towards charity.

I also agrees to pay the charges for processing and/or printing the
photograph(s), and to indemnify and agrees MALAYALI KKOOTAM and its
agents will not be liable for the damages and expenses (including
legal expense ) it may incur as a result of any copyright violation of
the photographs, including any claims brought by any other person
claiming an interest in the photos or in their subject matter.
