Sad to hear about the incidence silvereye
Even I am also facing a similar incident.
The following photo was taken when I was in school which is a very long time back !
It is being used by a online tours agency back in India it is called bharatonline.com. The image used by them is in the following link
I have emailed the company but no response yet !

abt the copyright issue.... many have taken the photo of this bridge from the same angle and hence think its their photo.
This picture was used on the cover page of veekshanam road residents association, when I enquired abt the photo the shop owner said his son took the photo and bought it on a CD, but its really Lim's photo.
How to tackle... put a huge watermark!!

please register your fotos at the registrar at trivandrum. once you have it registrered we can file a litigation against the misuse and get millions (oops did I say that) as income.. contact adv. Deepa for details regarding registration.

Watermarking should help. But regarding what has happened to Lim's work, only legal action can help.
But I have a personal philosophy about such problem. I am not a very good photographer, and I do not have the resources to sell/propagate my photos. So if I find my images being taken(just once I found so) without permission, I go home happily and tell my wife, "See, they took it; meaning my image is good!!!" . Certainly I get a kind of happiness :)

the other side:
a professional photographer go home and tell his wife: "see..my assignment is lost !!!.. Mr. XYZ took some good photograph and that agency copied and used it for free...instead of mine"

Hi all,

I want to take action against this.
I have a free profile. Hence, dont think I can replace the same photo with a watermarked one.
Or I will have to remove this, and put another one. I would loose those comments including the claim for copyright.

Sanand.. thats attrocious from Manorama.
Please contact Manorama and ask for good remuneration. if they didn't teke up the issues, then talk to matrhubhumi about the issue.. they will be happy to publish your story..
They should have atleast given you credit in the bottom (that is valid if you have given licence as CC)
this is pure violation of rights.

Yes ,Got MM at last.They have send me a message apologising for it and the culprit is an agency to whom the work was given.I have accepted their suggestion that it will be published again with credit given to me. Let us watch.

MM has kept their promis. A smaller version of the image in b/w is in today's daily with credits for Sanand. But, these buggers do not know how to do this kind of things without leaving a bad taste
