Christmas is not only the festival of love. It is also a festival of photography. For almost no other reason are as many pictures taken, photographs staged and cameras brought into position as around the 24th December of each year.
The Cologne cathedral Christmas market is now looking for that very special photographic moment. Committed hobbyist and professional photographers from 18 years and up are invited to creatively explore the theme of Christmas at the Cologne cathedral Christmas market.
All contest photos must be taken at the Cologne cathedral Christmas market 2010 or have this Christmas market explicitly as their theme.
The best and most exceptional contributions will be presented to the general public at the Cologne cathedral Christmas market 2011 as well as on the website. Attractive and valuable prizes are on offer.
The number of contest entries is limited to 10 per participant. It is not the number of photos that will be decisive, but only their quality.
The final date for submissions is 15 January 2011. The verdict of the three-person jury from the DGPh (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Photography ? German Photography Association) will be issued by 20 January 2011. The final date for submissions is 15 January 2011. Afterwards we will notify the winners.

1st Prize
A pamper weekend (Sat., Sun.) in the Cologne cathedral hotel with evening meal, worth more than 400 euros
2nd Prize
A Sony digital camera of the type: Sony DSC-HX1 (or similar depending on current availability) worth approx. 300 euros
3rd Prize
A Sony photo printer of the type: Sony DPP-F700/B (or similar depending on current availability) Digital picture frame with photo printer worth approx. 170 euros
All prizes will be sent to the winner. Legal action is excluded. Payment in cash is not possible.
