About KODACHROME PRE PAID PROCESSING PACKET PROJECT

This is a group for members of the KODACHROME pre paid processing packet project.

images will be scanned and uploaded when they are returned from processing.

I have invited members of the flickr community that live & use film near the 23 postal locations on the pre paid processing envelope supplied with the film sold in europe, to participate in this project.

I will send each member a roll of kodachrome so they can take photographs of the postal address. This may be an existing building, a demolished building or a PO Box.

The film will then be posted to Switzerland, where kodak then send it to Dwaynes Lab in Kansas, the last authorised lab to process kodachrome.
They stop processing kodachrome 30th december 2010.

The project will culminate in an exhibition(s). I have in mind showing them via a slide projector.

I am interested in this old format recording 'today', the colours and materiality of film, the flickr way of things, the world wide community of this with the old processing locations + the process of the project and the end of processing of the film.
