About Koala Hospital Port Macquarie

Photos taken at the Koala Hospital Port Macquarie, the first facility dedicated solely to the treatment and rehabilitation of sick and injured koalas.

Open to visitors 365 days per year, the Hospital treats 200-300 koalas per year with the aim being to return them to the wild.

The Hospital is staffed mainly by volunteers, receives no government funding and relies on donations to meet its running costs of over A$140,000 pa.
