About Amateur/Hobbyist Photo Knock Out
We're using the premise of Survivor: Flickr Island (http://www.flickr.com/groups/survivorflickrisland/) to create a group for amateur and hobbyist photographers too intimidated to join that group just yet.
It's a prize-free competition which gives you five days to take a photo and head up against another member. All other members will then provide constructive criticism on both photos and choose their favourite. The photographer with the most votes goes on to the next round and brings with him/her, a new photo. And on it goes...
The point is to get you out there and taking more photos. To encourage you to explore and try new things. And to keep learning.
