Seeing that most of the best and most beautiful yarns are sold in skeins, I decided to buy these tools. I use them a lot. One skein into one centre pull ball in about one minute.

This is handy, thanks for sharing! I have a swift, but I'm still saving up for a ball winder and this will be really useful in the meantime.

SFFSM - I don't have the money for those sadly :( so I thought this would be handy for all the other people who aren't able to purchase equipment
Kae oh no!! you should show them this post and make them do all the winding for you since they're the reason you can't do it with the winder *lol*
Unert I need a swift more than a winder. I don't find winding by hand that much of a hassle. But I'd love a swift to put the skein on because right now it's always on a chair and it gets soooo easily tangled that way.

There's also a wooden tool for this that spinners use called a nostepinne
