i like camping. lets do one in berkelah waterfall! now, anyone up for that challenge? or too old to go out... :P let's go Perhentian, we can go snorkling. im tired of coffee houses. too boring and mengemukkan badans... i got extra 2 sleeping bags, one tent ... 2 portable periuks and few army knifes.

Maybe we can go shooting too (but not to shoot animal lar.. shoot buah2). I get my father's shotgun with a copy of the license ;-) jom jom..

asha - is there a festival / celebration going on that weekend?
muid - i think kabir would eventually organise a camping trip.
personally i'd prefer a meetup that's accessible to most people and not so intimidating, especially for those new to the group. so cafes and mamaks is fine for me.
note that we've got less than 1 1/2 weeks until the date.

Last i did was nearly 2 yrs ago in Pulau Kapas, got so charred that coming back to KL everyone thought i was Japanese, rather weird.
Muid, i'm terrrified by that shotgun, but i'm game for paintball! i've always wanted to do that! Never been! At the moment i feel like shooting things, if not spraying bullets around!

if there's enough people who is interested in doing camping for this monthly meetup, i would really need someone to step up and be the organiser - and that means taking care of every little detail.
serious offer only, please. thanks.
also don't be shy to still come up with other ideas.

Camping is very interesting indeed :)
but somehow i think we need an earlier plan for that?
Another mini meet maybe??
eh thought you had that idea of going to that park where people play kites and also have a little picnic shaf?
That sounds cool too :)

oh yea.
have you guys noticed that park near kepong where there's many kites being flown in the afternoon? i thought that would be something cool to photograph. what do you all think?
we could bring drinks and snacks and enjoy them at the park. potluck sounds good!

the place is called Taman Metropolitan.. i've jog there few times. the place is crowded with foreign workers who look silly watching and starring at kids, young teens and girls jogging at the park. Plus, some girls can easily 'harassed' by group of mat rempit who lepak there frequently. They even follow with their bikes.. very, very not right. Plus, it's hard to find parking.
I'm up for camping la.. maybe potluck next time though I opt for cooking pasta and stuff, but tengah nak menjaga badan and eat healthy food, plus exercise. The forest of Malaysia is dying and i believe let us embrace our time (age) once again, to experience mother nature.
Let's make something memorable. I like to go for Kabir's suggestion, because I know by doing so, I'm benefiting healthy practice to stay fit, great outdoor photography portfolio (bosan asyik portrait shots) shooting insects and beautiful creatures in the forest, nice cooking for dinner near camp, sing-a-long, tell cool stories at kayu api, learning to be independent on survival skills and learn to be human and get from our modern life. Live up for the green bebeh!

camping .. well here is the benefit ..
Kiter bertambah segar, sehat, menyedut udara nyaman. lari dari kebingitan kota metropolitan plus yg paling bagusnya ... we can really interact with each other without gangguan anasir seperti WIFI, MAMAK tulis order, BUNYI MOTOR RXZ etc .. well sendiri fahamlah..
So kalau bebetul nak pergi camping i will arrange something with my fellow friend that is Encik Belanda Sontoloyo ...

well i think most of us know what nature has to offer, so...
but yes as a few have noted, we'd need a bit more time to organize a camping trip PLUS do consider also that people would need time to decide and prepare for it.
so kabir, maybe 2 or 3 weekends from now? you could open a new topic and start organizing ;)
and thanks sophie for the suggestion. looks like an interesting little tour, maybe for a sunday?
so hey anyone interested in a sort of 'extended' monthly meetup?
on saturday, we could have a casual, laid back meetup during late afternoon or early evening. we will have to decide on the location and agenda soon. so if you're new to the group especially, this is an easy way to get to know the group :)
on sunday, those interested could start off very early in the morning and go for the day trip to chiling waterfalls. a nice little outing for the more adventurous members. we'd need a volunteer to head this one.
what do you all think?
