About KiDECALS

So, it literally started with a dream. A dream in the last trimester of my first pregnancy. One morning in between wake and sleep, my nesting instinct in full force (tornado style force), I fitfully dreamt about how I was going to decorate my baby’s room. As an artist, I wanted to paint elaborate murals all over the walls. As a pregnant lady with a stomach too unwieldy to even think about climbing a ladder, I wanted a mural that I could change easily as my child’s interests would undoubtedly change. And in my dream, I saw myself peeling and applying a mural to the wall. So I woke up, waddled to the computer, googled like crazy, and shortly after my baby boy was born, KiDECALS was born too! I wanted to offer an easy and reasonable way to create hand painted, whimsical murals. You peel ‘em, you apply ‘em, and you remove ‘em when you want! No damage to your walls when you are ready to change things up! Now, with two babes in school, I saw another need (mostly because my OCD self was freaking out all the stuff they lost during school) KiDECALS is now making custom name dots: cool graphic labels with your child’s name and phone number that you can stick on bottles, sippys, lunch boxes, clothing tags, shoes...whatever they lose! This blog is about my decals, but it also about my life as a mother. All the fun, hard, and sticky details. I hope you enjoy being here! Thanks for your support and I love to hear your ideas, see your photos, and answer any questions you may have. All of the decals are made by me in Colorado! My wall murals are made on a phthalate free material with eco sol inks. I am constantly striving to make my business as green and as low impact as possible.
