15 Mar 07 - This is a VERY casual class because the members are super busy with being parents and other things. Nevertheless, we try to have assignments and in-between assignments regularly. You get out of this what you put into it, so DO: take on assignments, critique the work of others, post your pix, read the discussions, ask questions, start topics, post things you find on the internet that may be helpful to others, and visit from time to time.

About KC's Photo Class

This is a group created for my photography students, my friends and family, and anyone interested in learning/improving his or her photography at a very basic level.

Also welcome: anyone who wishes to learn the basics of composition, light, color, etc. Anyone willing to assist beginners with the elements of photography.

This is an invitation-only group at this stage, so, if you wish to join, please send me flickr mail and tell me why you want to join and what you can contribute/learn.

Photo students, post your photos here to receive a critique, ask questions, fufull assignments, etc.

Pros, feel free to offer suggestions, critique, or suggest an assignment.

There will be a new assignment posted about every two weeks (depending on my work load). That will give you about two weeks to complete each assignment. Following each assignment will be about a week to discuss and critique and then, watch for the next assignment.

Thank you and be sure to participate often, as that will make the group and your learning more effective.

Students, do be sure to explore the wonderful photography on flickr, pay attention to the ones that you really like and feel free to ask photographers how they did them! For the most part, people here are friendly and helpful.

Come in and learn!
