About Kasaysayan - Philippine History Digital Initiative

Repository of images, videos, illustrations, and other multimedia resources for use in creating electronic and digital resources about the history of the Philippines and Filipinos.


1. Photos, videos, illustrations and other multi-media creations must be relevant to Philippine History. This is actually very broad -- to include People, Places and Events, as well as background materials including relevant or significant historical events in the world during a specific period.

In terms of places, especially wrt places in the Philippines, present and historical photos of the place would be accepted to showcase the history and progress of the place.

2. The contribution must be posted by invitation only; or, after prior agreement between the Kasaysayan - Philippine History Digital Initiative and the invited member.

3. By posting here, you also ascertain that you are the actual photographer, creator or owner of the material contributed.

4. Posted materials must not have any watermarks, printed name or boundaries within the material.

Attribution of ownership, including copyright specification will be indicated appropriately in the digital format. At the very least, the name of the photographer/creator will be included in the list of Contributors and the specific contribution (in case of a digital publication. Personal website(s) or Flickr site(s) will be included in the "Contributor's Section" of the internet site that will be created specifically for the Kasaysayan - Philippine History Digital Initiative.

5. By accepting the invitation and posting here, you agree to have your work or creation be considered for possible inclusion in any of the planned digital creations for the "Kasaysayan - Philippine History Digital Initiative".

By posting your work here, you retain full copyright ownership but agree also to grant indefinite copyright release to allow " Kasaysayan - Philippine History Digital Initiative" to consider your work for potential use in any planned digital project. [In practical terms, you cannot change your mind in the future, to revoke the copyright agreement.]

6. Posting here does not necessarily obligate "Kasaysayan - Philippine History Digital Initiative" to use the material for inclusion in any digital publication. And, if used in any digital publication, the agreement will not obligate the "Kasaysayan - Philippine History Digital Initiative" to pay any monetary or material compensation.

7. Preference will be accorded to high quality, larger size and higher resolution, for a digital image or mass media material that would be considered for "print publication.

Substitutions may be done in future revisions, in case there is a higher resolution or better quality digital material.
