29 May 10 - I'd love to get some input on ideas to make this group work. One idea I've heard is to post photos as a new discussion thread as well as to the group pool. That way any feedback can be given in the thread instead of in the photos comments. Comment threads often end up having little to do with actual photography which is fun but may discourage people from being honest. Otherwise, don't forget to give feedback when you post a photo. Thanks, I guess we'll wait to see if it's going to live or die.

About Judgmental and Opinionated

A group to post to when your just not sure about a shot and want some advice, some constructive criticism or ideas of how to make your photo better.

If you would rather not post public just yet or post multiples or alternates in your comments you can post a private version here.

The idea is that the group will be able give every day advice and ideas, not professional opinions necessarily.

This isn't a photo "rating" group, not really interested in what you think is cool or uncool, just what you think would make a photo better when asked for your opinion.

Please use common sense when helping with a photo. No need to be mean, just tactful and honest.

If you post to this group your asking for the opinions of others, so you have to be prepared to hear it.

If you receive an invitation from me to join the group, it's because I would like your input and not because I think your work needs help. On the other hand, if your invited by someone else, then I'm not sure, maybe you do suck. If so, this group might work out for you after all.

You don't have to post to the pool to join and give advice. If you've come along with your photography and would just like to offer help, then great. If your continually asked about how you achieve the results you do in post processing, then great, this is good place to just cover what you would like to share once and for all.

So I guess we'll see how this goes.
