What kind of photo is on-topic?
|
This Flickr group is kind of like a homepage for me, only a lot more interactive, maybe - if anybody ever signs up.
Anything I post is on-topic by definition. What is on-topic from you, as far as the pool goes, are images that follow up on mine in some sense. Let's say, for example, you take a look at an image of mine and decide that the subject matter deserved a better presentation than I gave it. You might go out, snap a shot of the same subject and I might see that image and learn from it, as others lurking here might as well. That would be very much on-topic and appreciated.
This is not feigned humility on my part - I know very well that I am a beginner and that I have much to learn on this subject, and I am eager to do so. I will appreciate the constructive feedback, and if along the way some of my rough efforts prove to be things you enjoy looking at, I'll be glad to hear about that, too.

Oh - and close friends and family, should they drop by, are free to post what they want. It's not much of a party if people aren't free to play, right?

I've decided to make this group (Joseph_dunphy) into a personal photoblog, of sorts, but I still like the idea of having a place where those I know on Flickr can gather.
I won't be approving any applications to join this group, given the new stated purpose for the group, which is reflective of what it has evolved into over the last year and a half, but everything that I talked about people doing here, back during the summer of 2007, is stuff that I'd like to see people doing on my front porch group on Flickr.
