About Jim's Forest
Please use this Flickr group to post a picture of yourself with the tree you have planted to mark Jim Wilson's retirement. Don't forget to let us know:
- who you are
- when you were at Strathclyde
- what you are doing now
Most importantly, add your picture to the map so everyone can see where all the trees are around the world. To do this, click the 'Add to your map' link to the right of your photo, then browse to the correct location.

Jim says:
"When I started working with international students in 1985 we had no computers, no email, no internet etc. so information was given verbally, by letter or in the form of a poster. Over the years I am sure that I alone have been responsible for clearing a small forest of trees, due to the amount of paper I have used.
"It would be good to give back this vital resource to our planet.
"So, to mark my retirement, I would like to invite every international student I have had the privilege of meeting over the years to plant a tree - wherever you are in the world - to mark all the good times we had together with other international students, while you were at Strathclyde.
"If you met your life partner while in Glasgow, you may wish to plant two trees - or more if you are now a family."
