About Jewcy Magazine
What is Jewcy?
Welcome to the Flickr home of Jewcy Media.
Jewcy offers a more satisfying cultural and intellectual diet than the stale cheese blintz buffet offered by traditional Jewish media.
Online, our politics and culture magazine will feature fierce and funny writing and artwork by some of the nation's finest scribes and artists. We look at politics and culture through a Jewish lens -- picture the love child of Slate, Mad Magazine, the Paris Review and the old Menorah Journal.
Taking an unapologetic approach to big ideas (both Jewish and not), Jewcy features cutting edge art and essays, analysis and opinions by top writers and editors.
Offline, we produce wild events - parties, plays and a literary series.
You don't have to be Jewish to be Jewcy (although it doesn't hurt) - it's also good for Jew-Lovers, Honorary Jews and the Jew-ish.
Jewcy comes from the same New York City media and entertainment company famous for bringing you the Shalom Motherfucker T.
What’s the Jewcy Flickr Group?
We're giving you a chance to share your perspectives on the things that matter now. Give us the images of your world - - a quest for meaning, an expression of identity, a search for community, or American Idol.
Who's Jewcy?
Just about everyone who has an opinion or an idea. Jewcy peeps have dangerously in-depth knowledge of current affairs, a commitment to serious, intellectual discussion, and a lot of fun goofing off.
Group guidelines
Please mind Flickr's group guidelines. We encourage all members to have strong opinions - comment on your fellow contributors’ photos and find new ones to post. Jewcy covers all the things that matter to a wide community of people, and we're looking for all expressions.
We're hard to offend.
What Happens to Your Pics?
Images posted to this group may be used by Jewcy in our new magazine, Jewcy.com, upon its September launch. We're going to select new ones every week as Featured Images, and we'll link back to your site or your Flickr page. Don't worry - we'll ask your permission first, and you'll get full credit.
Who's Minding the Store?
Your Jewcy hosts are Craig Leinoff and Sara Myers. Hit us up at craig@jewcy.com with any questions or suggestions.
Thanks for sharing your images of what matters now.
