About Jetways: An Aviation Attachment

This is a group for pictures of jetways either by themselves or attached to the plane.

If the picture has a jetway in it, add it to the group. A plane doesn't have to be present.

Some jetways are nice and some are not. And most leave marks on planes that ruin our pictures at times.

The jetway is a functional part of aviation and some people find them interesting.

I've never taken a picture of an operation panel on a jetway but shots like those would be nice.

You can also add shots of the inside of the jet way - whether approaching the door to the plane, the door to the gate or just looking down one long (or short) expandable manufactured hallway.

I will never forget when I was younger all the excitement that came when Delta came to my Grandmother's airport. It was a six gate ground level airport where only two gates were used on a regular basis.

It was the longest jet way as you very slowly made your winding way to meet the 737 at the other end.

It was a media event. It made the front page of the paper.

We take them for granted but if you have ever been out of the country to an open air airport with exposure to the elements, you may now appreciate it for what it is.
