About Classic Japanese Lenses

Japan may dominate the lens market today but it hasn't always been that way, Japanese optics were once thought of as inferior.

Eventually though, people had to change their opinions due to the excellent optical quality and fine craftsmanship of many Japanese lenses.

In this group we showcase photos from our favourite classic Nippon glass, whether Asahi Pentax, Konica, Fuji, Olympus, Yashica, Canon, Nikon, Minolta or even one of the many fine third party lens manufacturers such as Tamron or Tomioka that helped put Japan on the optical map.



Rules:

To keep the rules simple, any lens that is manual focus and Japanese is fine!!!

Fixed lens cameras such as TLR, rangefinder etc. from this period are more than welcome.

Photos of the equipment can be also be submitted and may be taken with any camera or lens.

No tags are required although it would be great if you could let others know which lens was used.

This is a public group so porn, nudity and other such content is NOT allowed.
