About Austin College Jan Term 2011 Photo Contest
Want to showcase your abilities as a fledgling photographer? Did you study this past JanTerm? Are you a student or affiliated with Austin College? Show us! Submit your photos for 2011 JanTerm Photo Contest.
Qualifications:
Photos must have been taken on an Austin College JanTerm
You must sign a Photo Release Form
Photos must fit the digital specifications (see below)
Categories: Students can submit ONE Photo Per Category
• Cross-Cultural interaction
• Environmental, landscape
• Urban life, cityscape
How to submit?
You can do one of the following:
1. Submit your images online via email to Ashlee Flinn (aflinn@austincollege.edu)
2. Bring a digital copy to the Wright Campus Center #204 on a Flash Drive
3. Bring a printed photo to the Wright Campus Centers #204
•If you bring a print, please bring an 8X10 print
When Submitting Photos:
Provide the name of who took the photo, the location of the image, and when it was taken.
*Please note that photos will not be accepted if any of this information is missing
Digital specifications:
• at least 8 Mega Pixels
or
• at least 300 dpi for an image that will be an 8X10 print
*Please note that the long dimension of the photo will be 10 inches or 3,000 DPI. An 8X10 image will need to be 2,400 X 3,000 DPI
*We can help you re-size your image if necessary. If you would like us to help you, then please bring in the original digital copy.
Facebook images will NOT work in this format
• Please note that the final judging will be on prints and NOT digital images
Submissions close: Thursday, February 24th, 2011
Awards announced: Monday, February 28th, 2011
Maximum of 3 Photos per student (1 photo per category)
